This year for our Christmas craft we decided on decoupaging cardboard stars with copies of antiqued sheet music. The small stars I bought at Michael’s and the larger stars I found on Etsy. Once the first layer of pieces of sheet music were decoupaged and while we waited for them to dry, we all had a glass of my latest drink of choice – champagne with a splash of raspberry liquor. Nice!
Then another coat of decoupage was put on the stars. Once that was dry, we embellished the top of the stars with pine cones, greenery and berries with hot glue. Then we applied glitter to the edges of the stars.
This year was even more fun because my 4-year old granddaughter Hadley joined us and really did a great job on her star (with a little help from Mom :-). Soon her little 1-year old sister Evie will be joining us for our yearly craft day too. We all had so much fun with this project and were so pleased with how they turned out.
